Why we started a Blog...

Our company is called Metal Roof Specialties, and guess what? We install metal roofs in the Puget Sound area. We also sell the material and get a ton of questions from the Do-It-Yourself-ers. So on this blog we'll give some good DIY tips and take you behind the scenes of our company.

You'll meet our staff, see us working on actual jobs, check out some of our specialized gear, and hopefully learn something along the way.

We'll see you soon on the new blog.
Jerry and Haley.

Went to your site to look at colors and styles of metal roofs after hearing your name on Rush Limbaugh... Could not find either, so I went to another companies site...

Hi Richard,

I am sorry to hear you were unable to locate the product section on our website. Please copy this link to see our product page, http://metalroofspecialties.com/products.php

We currently do not have a color chart on our site because the color representation can be so off, but check back soon, we are adding a color chart.
In the mean time you can visit the manufacturers websites, AEPSpan.com or ascbp.com (ASC Building Products) websites and view color charts there.

Best Regards!

I have a 2:12 pitch with Composition on it and Ice and water sheild underneith it. However it leaks more than the original torchdown. We replaced it thinking it would be an upgrade, MISTAKE.My question is, can one put metal over composition we are considering metal. will it create a vapor problem putting metal over comp???? and does a raised seam snap metal roof come in 60 ft pannels?????

Hi Joe,

Wow what a bummer, the good news is YES you can put metal over composition, assuming the codes in your city allow it.
The composition itself will actually act as a vapor barrier but because of the different materials it would be recommended to put an underlayment over the composition and then the metal roofing.
Yes you can get a raised seam metal roof product in 60' panels.
